The Logitech G19 gaming keyboard is simply amazing. It includes a 320-by-240 pixel LCD display that has a database of information and secrets for over 60 games. So for you World Of Warcraft fans, this is a must have device if you want to conquer all the lands. Not only does the LCD show games details and stats you can also view CPU loading, VoIP communication status, clock and whole heap more of non-gaming related information.
Another very cool feature of the Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard is the option to change the back light color to match you current equipment. Ok, it’s a bit gimmicky, but we love it anyway!
The Good:
- Quality feel
- Excellent gaming features
- Ability to change keypad illumination color to match existing equipment
The Bad:
- Rather expensive for mere commoners. (if you have the money, get one!)
This Keyboard is For:
- Gaming professionals
- Online Gamers or
- Anyone passionate about the best gaming experience.
Let’s take a look at some of the features:
- Color Game Panel LCD – Displays game system stats and much more without having to leave the game.
- 12 Fully Programmable G-keys with Three Macros Per Key – Able to program 36 commands per game (simpl or complex macros). The MR key allows you to input new macros whenever you want.
- Game Mode Switch – An intergrated mode switch allows you disable the Windows /Context Menu keys so you don’t accidentally get kicked out of your game.
- User-Selectable Character Backlighting Color – Allows you to customize the color of the backlight on your keyboard.
- Two High-Speed, Powered USB 2.0 Ports – Allows you to connect to power devices – such as a Laser Mouse or Headset – using the two high-speed USB ports. You can also transfer data to and from peripherals, like MP3 players and flash drives – this also charges any battery operated devices.
- Multi-Key Input – Allows you to Perform multiple actions simultaneously. This feature allows you to engage up to five keys at the same time.
The Bottom Line:
Overall the Logitech G19 gaming keyboard simply rocks, nothing we’ve tested is this good. Sure it is a tad expensive but the hours of endless joy is worth it.
